It's that time of the year again.

I've gotten through the livestock portion of my rounds and now I am making schedules to visit private pets. As everyone knows, your pets have to be inspected for health and other things, so it's very important you make an appointment. Otherwise, I have to show up unannounced, and that usually just ends in my walking in on something I didn't want to see. Seriously, if you're going to keep your pets in terrible conditions, please try not to be surprised when they're taken away, okay?

Something I've found, is that humans and vampires both, are lacking in common sense. You can tell them how many times you want, and it won't rest in their skulls properly.

I just do my job and tell everyone so they can't say I didn't. You don't have any pets, correct?

No, I do not. It's a little too close to slavery for my liking. And societies have fallen in the past because of it. So I prefer to keep my hands untainted in that way, at least.
